How Do You Apply Facial Oils?

Often times when you’re trying to improve your overall health, one of the things you do is research a healthy diet or a healthy meal plan. It is important to eat foods that will give you the best benefits if you’re trying to improve your overall health. This same concept applies to your skin! If you want glowing skin, you have to give it the best food! Facial oils are chock full of these healthy ingredients that improve your skin’s health in so many ways. Now you know the best facial oils for all skin types, how do you apply these facial oils? Luckily, there are tons of ways to ensure that your skin gets its daily dose of facial oils! Here are a few tips on how to apply facial oils!

1. How to Apply Facial Oils: Mix a Facial Oil in With Your Moisturizer

If you’re feeling a little nervous with putting on pure oil on your face, we feel you. It’s intimidating, but it’s worth it. Trust us. If you want to ease your way into the facial oil world, this is a great way to apply facial oils. With your favorite moisturizer already on your fingers, put a few drops of facial oil in it and mix it all up before applying to your face!

2. How to Apply Facial Oils: Directly Apply a Thin Layer to Your Face

If you’re feeling gutsy or you are confident in the benefits of using a facial oil, then just apply the facial oil directly to you face! Be sure you don’t use too much! I typically lightly squeeze the dropper as a I run it across my forehead and both of my cheeks. Then I massage the facial oil thoroughly into my skin so that the facial oil reaches deep into my pores.

3. How to Apply Facial Oils: If You Are Going to Apply a Thin Layer, Put it On After Your Moisturizer

The reason we recommend that you apply facial oils after your moisturizer is because facial oils protect the skin. If you apply a moisturizer after you put on your facial oil, the moisturizer won’t seep down into the pores properly. Make applying your facial oil the last step you do in your skincare routine!

4. How to Apply Facial Oils: Add a Few Drops of Facial Oil to Your Foundation

If you’re looking for all-day moisture, put 1-2 drops in your foundation and mix it all together! Adding facial oils to your foundation will not only keep your skin moisturized all day, but it will also add the perfect amount of dew and glow to your look!

5. How to Apply Facial Oils: Massage it In

If you’re looking for the best results, give your face a good massage when applying your facial oil. Apply in upward motions to evenly distribute the facial oils throughout your face. This will also help ensure that your facial oils soak in deeply into your pores because the stimulation of the facial massage opens the pore further. A really popular method of applying products evenly right now is using a roller! Check out these rose quartz rollers that are hitting the skincare industry by storm!

6. How to Apply Facial Oils: Mix it With Your Serum

If you’re feeling nervous about applying so many layers of moisturizing products on your face, try adding just 1-2 drops of your facial oil with your serum! The combination of these two textures will feel a little funny while applying, but mixing these products together is an effective way of applying facial oils.
